Joan Ellison co-founded DynamiCare Consulting & Education with a mission to ensure outstanding care and quality of life for RCFE residents. After working for many years as a paralegal, Joan became interested in elder care as a result of her aging father’s sudden need for assistance. She eventually went on to earn her M.A. from Sacramento State in Gerontology and Public Policy & Administration. While working as a Geriatric Care Manager and Placement Specialist, her curiosity about the services and management of RCFE’s led her to enroll in an Administrator Certification Training Program. As a result, Joan gained a unique consumer/provider perspective, which inspires her vision for DynamiCare’s ongoing development.

In addition to a Department of Social Services/Community Care Licensing Division-approved instructor, Joan served for eight years as an associate faculty member of Ashford University (now Arizona State University Global), where she enjoyed teaching online undergraduate courses in Gerontology to students worldwide. In addition to RCFE license application assistance, Joan’s State license application assistance has expanded to include Adult Residential Facility, Adult Day Care, Small Family Home, and Home Care Organizations.
